¡Al Weinrub Presente!

The Local Clean Energy Alliance family is saddened to share that Al Weinrub passed away August 30th, 2023, very peacefully, with friends and family by his side. His spirit and determination for justice lives on in the work we do. You can read his most recent article here: "The New (Renewable) Energy Tyranny" published in The Nonprofit Quarterly July 13, 2023. Much of his work as an author will be preserved in the UMass Amherst Library collection of the Al Weinrub Justice Papers.

In lieu of flowers, Al's family suggests that donations be made to the Al Weinrub Justice Fund to ensure that Al's legacy can continue to engage and inspire a national and international community.
